• LOWER NEMAHBIN LAKE
  Lower Nemahbin Lake is a favorite for those seeking a peaceful, nature-focused paddling experience. With light boat traffic, clear waters, and fewer crowds than nearby lakes, it’s ideal for spotting wildlife, enjoying calm conditions, and exploring shoreline scenery at your own pace. A great starting point for both lake paddles and Bark River floats.
• Parking:
  • DNR LOT - Park in front of a numbered sign to park legally — tickets are $60 if parked incorrectly.
  • Angle park on sugar island road to the left just before the DNR lot

• BARK RIVER Access Sawyer Road
  Enjoy a peaceful paddle along the beautiful Bark River, where nature surrounds you at every bend. This gentle float is perfect for spotting fish gliding beneath the surface, turtles sunning on logs, and birds soaring overhead. Keep an eye out for deer, herons, and other local wildlife as you drift through scenic wetlands
